Don Vickery

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, drummer Don Vickery came  to Toronto in 1959 where he has been a vital part of the jazz scene ever since.
Throughout his still thriving career as a professional
musician, he has worked with the world's leading  jazz artists, entertainers, and big bands in recordings, on radio and TV shows, and touring.
A 1965 graduate of the Oscar Peterson School of Music, Don has been a member of the Music Faculty at the respected Humber College in Toronto since 1974.
In live performances in hundreds of venues from clubs to concert halls he has worked with a lengthy list of stellar jazz names including Ralph Sutton, Bed Richards, The World's Greatest Jazz Band, Yank Lawson, Joe Venuti, Joe Williams, Jay McShann, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Art Fanner, Herb Ellis, Jimmy McPartland, Carol flntto, George Mazo, Clark Terry, Doc Cheatham, Zoot Simms, Red Norvo, 
Buddy Tate, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Delia Reese, RobMcConnell, Benny Carter, Urbie Green and Jack Sheldon. He has been a member of The Frank Wright Quartet for several years and is now the foundation of the rhythm section with the C.J.Q.
